Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BookSimple ("the Service"), operated at booksimple.mgshosting.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
BookSimple is an online appointment booking platform that allows service providers ("Providers") to create booking pages and accept appointments from their clients ("Clients"). The Service includes provider dashboards, public booking pages, email notifications, and optional payment processing.
3. Subscription Plans & Billing
BookSimple offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Starter and Pro). Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing dashboard or Stripe Customer Portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.
4. Platform Fees
BookSimple charges a 1% platform fee on all client payments processed through the Service. This fee is deducted automatically before payouts to Providers. Providers are responsible for any additional payment processor fees charged by Stripe or PayPal.
5. User Accounts
To use the Service as a Provider, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
6. Provider Responsibilities
As a Provider, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your services, pricing, and availability
- Honor confirmed bookings or cancel them in a timely manner
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to your services
- Not use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose
- Provide accurate payout details for receiving payments
7. Client Bookings
Clients can book appointments without creating an account. By making a booking, Clients agree to provide accurate contact information and to honor their appointments. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
8. Payments & Payouts
Client payments are collected by BookSimple via Stripe. BookSimple deducts a 1% platform fee and pays out the remainder to Providers via their chosen payout method (PayPal or bank transfer). Payouts are processed on a weekly basis. BookSimple does not store credit card information directly.
9. No-Show Protection
Pro plan Providers may enable no-show protection, which authorizes (but does not charge) a client's card at booking time. If the client does not attend, the Provider may capture the authorized amount as a no-show fee. Clients are informed of this policy during the booking process.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by BookSimple. Providers retain ownership of their content (business information, photos, service descriptions). By uploading content, you grant BookSimple a license to display it on your public booking page.
11. Limitation of Liability
BookSimple is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, missed appointments, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the preceding 12 months.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any pending payouts will be processed before account deletion.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
